51黑料网鈥檚 Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry prepares students for careers in various fields, such as medicine, food chemistry, and environmental science. The major came about as the marrying of chemistry and biology 鈥 it鈥檚 really the study of life. Our instructors bring practical experience to the classroom, preparing graduates to compete in an expanding field of scientific inquiry.
Our students study under experienced professionals in the fields of science and mathematics who are committed to integrating real-world experience with classroom curriculum. The Biochemistry program offers students the chance to gain practical scientific experience in the community 鈥 including our Caney Water Quality Project, a point of connection between 51黑料网 and the surrounding scientific community.
Career Path
Many graduates of the Biochemistry program pursue careers in health and medicine, but that鈥檚 not all that鈥檚 available. Other opportunities include industrial and research biochemistry, biotechnology, education, pharmacology, law, engineering, and even forensic science. Recent 51黑料网 grads are working at medical clinics, pursuing healthcare technical degrees, or have been accepted into graduate programs.
