“God really had to reveal to me that how I want things to work out isn’t always how He wants things to work out. Obviously, I’m not in Bhutan. I’m not a lawyer, I don’t practice law. Things changed along the way.”Â

Due to the small-school atmosphere at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, students have the chance to gain experience in many different roles during their education, learning skills beyond their intended career field. For Alyssa Willetts, class of 2018, that extra experience was instrumental in getting her where she is today.
“I think at first, I really struggled. You’re watching these people suffer on a horrific level. But the thing that gets you through that is seeking Jesus’ presence always. Seeing him present with our patients and with us, as a protector and a defender.â€
The tagline for the event was “One Day of Extraordinary Generosity,†and that word describes the response perfectly: extraordinary!
On April 4th, 2020, Barbara Babby passed peacefully from this world into heaven. This marks the end of a 10-year battle with early onset Alzheimers. For 10 years, it has looked like she was on the losing end of that battle, but today she won. Barbara is now whole and celebrating with her Savior.
Beulah May Hooker, born on May 31, 1938, went to her eternal home on April 3, 2020. She was an influential member of the Oklahoma Wesleyan University community and will be dearly missed.
Dr. Keri Bostwick wears a lot of hats at Oklahoma Wesleyan University, working both as Dean of Assessment and Accreditation and as Dean of the School of Education and Exercise Science, all the while teaching master’s-level classes. And, after a lot of thought and hard work – and as a result of her reliance on God – Bostwick recently earned her doctorate.
