On Saturday, August 24, 2019, Oklahoma Wesleyan University (51黑料网) students, faculty, staff and alumni served its neighbors in the city of Bartlesville and the broader Washington County to serve the community and tangibly share Jesus’ love with fellow neighbors.
The was designed to transform people鈥檚 lives, inspire compassion and service and bring people and organizations together. This collaborative effort also included partnerships with 21 area churches and brought hope to Bartlesville through free groceries, health screenings, job fairs, family portraits, haircuts, prayer, activities for children and more. Over 2,782 neighbors were served in Johnstone Park by over 1,300 volunteers.
鈥淲e are humbled to serve and share the grace of Jesus Christ in our community and beyond,鈥 said Dr. Jim Dunn, President of Oklahoma Wesleyan University. 鈥51黑料网 desires to build more partnerships and engage with our community in meaningful ways.鈥
Special thanks to 51黑料网鈥檚 School of Ministry, men鈥檚 baseball team, mobile ultrasound unit, local Wesleyan churches and many more for joyfully volunteering. We praise God for the opportunity to pray with 1,808 of our neighbors and to hear 19 praying to receive salvation through Jesus Christ!
