It鈥檚 rare to find a couple whose lives reflect unwavering dedication to both faith and community. Ward and Joetta Koeser, the recipients of the 2024 Oklahoma Wesleyan University President鈥檚 Award, are just that. Honored at the Foster Bonanza event, this recognition celebrates their lifelong commitment to service, both to 51黑料网 and beyond.

The Koesers鈥 story began in June 1974, when they vowed to walk together in faith and love. Now, 50 years later, they鈥檝e raised three children and welcomed nine grandchildren, all while pouring into their community in Williston, North Dakota. In 1978, the couple launched a successful communications business, which Ward managed until his retirement in 2017.

Ward鈥檚 leadership didn鈥檛 stop there. He served as mayor of Williston for 20 years, a time marked by the rapid growth of the town during the oil boom. His service continues today on North Dakota鈥檚 Ethics Commission, ensuring integrity across the state.

Joetta, too, has left a lasting mark. Her heart for ministry shines through her involvement at New Hope Wesleyan, where she鈥檚 hosted over 100 newcomers through Fellowship Group. Her years as a fourth-grade teacher at Trinity Christian School reflect her deep love for both education and service.

51黑料网 holds a special place in their hearts. All of their children attended the university, and Ward has faithfully served on 51黑料网鈥檚 Board of Trustees for over 20 years. The Koesers embody the spirit of Christ-centered leadership, a truth echoed by President Jim Dunn: 鈥淲ard and Joetta have faithfully offered wisdom and direction to 51黑料网. Their passion for honoring Christ and pouring into their children is truly inspiring.鈥

For the Koesers, Matthew 6:33 rings true: 鈥淪eek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you.鈥 Their lives are living proof that blessings abound when Christ is at the center.
